Apple have released their developer version of the new IOS 6.1.3 update which developers received last week and reports suggest that the new update will put a stop to the popular jailbreak Evasi0n. The jailbreak came out at the start of the month and is designed to give users access to files, settings and third party software, that would otherwise be unavailable. Apple have always discouraged the use of such software claiming that it can make the devices unstable and causes a range of issues.
The jailbreak software set records for the fastest downloaded after release and is now available not only for the iPhone and iPod but also iPad and iPad mini devices. However because of the new IOS update, developers of Evaisi0n are already looking for ways to exploit other bugs with the IOS software to allow the jailbreak to be installed.

Yesterday Intel confirmed they are going to build an Internet TV service and set top box to kick start their TV revolution across multiple platforms. Erik Huggers, general manager of Intel Media, had this to say yesterday.
"I absolutely and completely believe in the world of multiplatform ... anytime, anyplace, anywhere. Consumers and audiences expect that nowadays. Yes, we will make services available on other sockets, on other devices, and on other products just like at the BBC. But to get from nothing to 650 devices at the BBC literally took four years. That doesn't happen overnight, but yeah, you bet, that's completely part of the strategy."
Huggers declined to say what devices will initially work with Intel's TV service, saying the company would provide more details at a later date. What we do know at the moment is that the service is likely to be intorduced this year along with the new set top box. The service will provide on demand and catchup TV and will eventually be offered across many platforms for mobile TV.
